Jubilee Cross Prayan in Bangalore

"Jubilee cross in Bangalore was surely days of blessing for the city of Bangalore , for the movement in Bangalore and specially for all the prayan volunteers.

Through the power of cross God has opened new doors for the movement in Bangalore.Thank God for all the wonderful things God has led us into at the beginning of the jubilee year itself.

We travelled good part of Bangalore(around 150km) on both the days with the concluding mass at St.Antony's friary Church where the cross was handed over to the TamilNadu region."

Day1 - 30th January 2010

The journey began at 9:30am after the cross was handed over to JYBangalore direct from Sullia.
In the first leg of the journey we moved through bannerghatta road visiting few houses and Holy Trinity Ashram(Time 9:30am-11:30am)
In the second leg the prayan volunteers moved to begur area visited the house of the animator(Mathew Joseph) and
St Ignatius Church (Estd 1862) Begur.The response at St.Ignatius Church was overwhelming with parishoners turning up in large numbers on saturday afternoon to see the cross and pray before it.Parish priest Fr.Moses was exceptionally suppotive of the cross prayan and gave a beautiful messgage about the importance and relevance of cross in our life to all the faithful gathered there. (11:30-1:00pm)

In the 3rd leg we moved to suvidya college(msfs) near electronic city where we were joined by more than 100 brothers studying for priesthood.Fr.Immanuel(Ex KJYT pastor) was there to support and bless us. (1-3pm).

Then the cross moved to Christ University campus gathering(3pm-4pm)
In the last leg of the day cross moved to Kammanhalli area.Visited couple of houses and then moved to Banaswadi and finally to Whitefield prayer group.(5 -7pm)

In the next leg cross moved to Jeevalaya(bannerghatta) for nurses vight vigil followed by visit to RRC youth night vigil.(9pm-5am)
Totally we travelled 120 kms in and around Bangalore.Truly a great day and a great privilege for all the cross bearers.

Day2: 31st Jan, 2010
The jubilee cross was placed in St.Antony's Church,Kormangala for 4 different Holy Masses in the morning(6am-English,7am-Tamil,8am-Kannada,930am - English).After each mass the parishioners came forward to venerate the cross.

Next the jubilee cross moved to Holy Cross convent as a procession from St.Antony's Church to Holy Cross convent where a prayer session was separately held at convent and ladies hostel chapels led by JY's from Holy Cross Hostel.(11-1pm)

Visited few houses in the Madiwala area before visiting the Brigitine , sunday prayer group near Brigade road.

Finally the cross was brought to St.Antony's church where JY's gathered for the jubilee prayan conclusion mass in the Karnataka and thus the cross was handed over to Tamilnadu JY representatives.

Through the grace of our Lord....

This is the update of the cross tour today in mangalore..

This morning it was brought from Unity hostel to Fatima retreat house where the elder charismatic group had an hour of adoration with the cross.. the cross was then taken to Arrel's house ( Mangalore Co-ordinator)... Next taken to Prem's house ( Mangalore sub region team member)... At around 1pm it was taken to Daphne' s house... Then Anil's house and his Aunty's house.. Evening 5pm it was taken to Infant Jesus Shrine,Bikarnakatte.. The cross was kept for the Novena mass..

Berna addressed the congregation about the cross and its significance before the mass began..
Fr.Allwyn celebrated the mass which he offered for the Jesus Youths and the jubile year..
This was followed by prayer meeting at the shrine.. After which it was taken to Hebin' s house..
And from there it was taken to SCS(students) hostel. Tomorrow the cross will be sent to Sullia..
The Jubilee Cross has filled our city with TRUE ESSENCE OF PRAYER..

Jubilee Cross in Mangalore - Day 2

The Jubilee Cross on Mangalore is really spreadin the essence of prayer. After the time at night vigil the cross was taken to St Alphonsa Church, Kankanady from there was taken to St Anthony's poor home where The JY's spent time in prayer. Yesterday the cross was taken to Moodbidri.

There was a small gathering at Dr John's house in Mangalore.Later Cross was taken to SCS hostel last night...

Today the cross was taken to two colleges, during the day it was taken to St Joseph's Engineering, Vamanjoor. Evening it was taken for Fr Muller's Prayer Meeting, where around 80 JY's gathered in Praising God and interceding for various needs.Now the cross is at the Unity hostel and will be there till tomorrow morning.

The Bishop of Mangalore venerates the Jubilee Cross

Most Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore venerated the Jubilee Cross in the Bishop’s House Chapel, Mangalore at around 10:00 pm on 25th January, 2010.There were nearly 25 Jesus Youth who were gathered to praise and adore the Lord for the whole night. The Jubilee prayer was lead by the Bishop and everyone joined in unison. Fr Prakash was at the confessional to prepare JY’s.

Just a small update of the Jubilee cross in Mangalore..

The cross was brought from Manipal to Mangalore on the 24th January, 2010 at around 10pm. It was taken to Dr Jesni's house( professional team member) and few Jesus Youths along with his family had a time of prayer.The cross remained at his house last night.. n today morning it was passed to Athena Hostel and after that to St Agnes College where the core team sat in prayer before the cross.. This evening the cross wil be taken to Kuntikan in one of the teens ministry member's house, after which it wil be taken for the Night Vigil at Bishop's House.

Jubilee Cross in Chitradurga
